Overview
When you add a camera to the Arcules platform, you have some options as to how you want the recording for the camera to behave. If it is on motion, or all of the time, never, or a mix of the three, you can achieve that in the Recording Schedule.
On Motion 24x7
Continuous 24x7
None 24x7
Custom
Settings
You can access these settings either as part of the Add Camera Wizard, or from the device list, clicking on the camera, and under Settings, hit Recording Settings.
On Motion 24x7
On Motion 24x7 means that at all times, when the motion detection is triggered, the camera will begin recording.
The settings for Recording before/after motion detection will determine how many seconds before, and after, the motion event the recording is kept. This can be set for up to 30 seconds before, and 30 seconds after.
Continuous 24x7
This setting will have the camera recording full time 24x7, regardless of motion.
None 24x7
This setting will tell the camera never to record. This is useful if you want to have a camera that is view only. An example of this would be the combined view of a panoramic camera. You would be recording on the individual lenses, but do not need to for the combined view.
Custom
With this setting you can mix and match continuous, on motion, and never recording to match a specific operational need. All times will be in the local device time of the camera.
