Ensure optimal performance and support by following firmware guidelines

Updated this week

Note: This article documents functionality for the upcoming i‑PRO Camera‑to‑Cloud (C2C) support and is intended for preview and early‑access audiences. Information may be updated prior to general availability.

Overview

This article describes the firmware requirements for i-PRO (ipro) cameras supported in Camera-to-Cloud (C2C) deployments. Ensuring cameras run supported firmware versions is essential for reliable connectivity, security updates, and compatibility with cloud services.

Before onboarding an i-PRO camera to the Arcules platform, verify that the camera firmware is up-to-date and compatible with the device model.

Scope

How to Verify the Firmware Version

  1. Log in to the camera web interface.

  2. Navigate to the Maintenance or System Information section.

  3. Locate the Firmware Version field.

  4. Compare the installed version with the latest firmware available on the i-PRO support portal.

  5. Upgrade the firmware if necessary.

Firmware Upgrade Best Practices

To ensure stable operation of Camera-to-Cloud deployments:

  • Upgrade cameras to the latest available firmware prior to onboarding.

  • Maintain consistent firmware versions across cameras in the same deployment.

  • Always download firmware directly from the official i-PRO support portal.

  • Perform firmware upgrades during a maintenance window to avoid recording interruptions.
