Overview
Welcome to a world where controlling your PTZ-enabled cameras is a breeze! At Arcules, we're excited to introduce you to our intuitive PTZ controls. They're designed to give you the power to position your cameras perfectly, capturing every angle with ease. But first, let's cover a few important points:
This functionality is only available for supported devices.
You have to be assigned the PTZ Operator role to use this functionality.
Movements
Pan: moves the camera left and right
Tilt: moves the camera up and down
Zoom: increase or decrease magnification of the image
A button for PTZ functionality is displayed next to the full screen icon when hovering over any video player. When you click on the icon, controls for PTZ are being shown. To hide the controls, just click on the same icon again.
How To Control PTZ
Directional Control: Use the arrow overlays to move your camera in any direction. For diagonal tilts, check out the smaller arrows in the corners.
Zoom In & Out: The '+' and '-' icons are your friends for zooming in and out.
Home: Hit the Home button to return your camera to its default view. Remember, you need to set this up in the camera's web UI first.
How To Update PTZ Settings
You can make changes to the PTZ settings in the camera's web UI (i.e. updating the default view for for "home"). If modifications are made in the camera's web UI, be sure to click SETTINGS > Refresh Camera Configuration to retrieve the latest PTZ settings from the device.
