This article goes through the installation and configuration of Arcules in IMMIX

Updated over 2 years ago

Procedure for installing the Arcules plug-in for IMMIX:

  • Make sure you have a license for IMMIX Central Station or Guard Force

  • Contact IMMIX support for initial installation of the Arcules plug-in

  • Updates will be pushed through the IMMIX service and can be applied by an IMMIX user with an administrator role

Procedure for using Arcules and IMMIX:

  • Set up an account in Arcules to be used for the integration

    • It is recommended to create a special user for this and limit permission by only assigning the API User role

  • Ensure you have your Rules to trigger Alarms set up in Arcules

    • Example: Motion Detected on a Camera After Hours

Send Notification box is optional, but may be useful in testing the integration to ensure that if you get the email, the alert was captured by IMMIX.

  • Log in to IMMIX and navigate to the setup area

    For a New Site

  • Under SITES, click on "Add a Site"

  • Click on your Customer Name with the gold building next to it

  • This will open the IMMIX Site Wizard

    • In the Site Details screen, fill in the appropriate information and hit Next

    • The Logo and Notes sections are up to your discretion to add, but are not required.

    • On the Devices section, Click on Add a Device

    • Choose “Show All” and select the Arcules device type from the model selector

    • Give the device a suitable name

    • IP/Host and Port are irrelevant due to connecting to the cloud service

    • Fill in Arcules account information, email and password

    • Enter the exact name of the desired Arcules location - if not specified all cameras associated with Arcules account will be imported

    • Enter the cloud region US, EU or JP - if not specified this defaults to US

    • Make sure to check the “Use Passthrough” option - the integration will always use passthrough (i.e. no re-encoding on the IMMIX side)

    • Pressing the “Update Config” button will display a list of all imported cameras and an auto-generated list of corresponding Alarm inputs. Check/uncheck cameras or alarm inputs as desired.

    • Click Done

    • This takes you back to the New Site Wizard, click Next

    • On the Cameras tab of the wizard, you should see the cameras you chose to come in via Arcules when creating the device. Click Next.

    • On the Multiview, Splits, Tours, Audio, and Relay tabs, you can set these up as needed.

    • On the Alarms tab, this will show any alarms pulled in form your Arcules instance. Verify them here and hit Next.

    • For the Alarm Groups tab, you can create groups for your alarms as needed. Hit Next.

    • This will take you to the Site Setup Report. Print or download as needed and hit Finish.

    • Press Save

  • The cameras are now available inside IMMIX for Multiviews, Tours, etc.
