Enabling ONVIF for Arecont Cameras
Enabling ONVIF for Arecont Cameras

Some Arecont Cameras do not have ONVIF settings in their camera configuration, and require extra steps to enable it to work with Arcules.

Updated over 2 years ago

Per Arecont's documentation, for some of their cameras to operate in ONVIF mode, they are required to sync to an external NTP time server, due to a hardware limitation of having no onboard clock chip.

Go to www.arecontvision.com and verify the model you have supports ONVIF. If it does not, it will not be compatible with Arcules.

  • Note: Not all firmware revisions support ONVIF (Profile S).

  1. Use this HTTP command to confirm if it is enabled

  2. Download and install Onvif Device Manager.

  • The admin account must have a password set in order authenticate with the software.

3. This application will allow you to discover, view, configure, set NTP and create Profiles as shown below.
