Live streaming of audio through the web app
Listen from a network device microphone
Speak out to a network device speaker
Audio Device Support
Axis (VAPIX®) network speakers, horns, audio modules, and cameras with built-in audio sources.
Camera-to-Cloud devices are currently not supported.
Prerequisites
Audio devices are onboarded with audio sources enabled or your existing cameras with built-in audio support have audio sources enabled. You can get started here.
User must have the Audio Live Operator role.
WebRTC must be enabled for the organization.
How to
In the left hand side menu, navigate to the Views page. To add a new view with Audio devices, click the plus ‘+’ icon. You will be prompted to ‘Add New View’. Enter a View Name, and then click 'Next' to continue.
Select your desired video channels and click 'Next.' You will be prompted to select your audio devices if available. Note: Selected cameras with built in audio capabilities will automatically have its microphone and speakers included in the View.
To start a live listening session, select a device in the Microphone dropdown and then click the icon to unmute audio.
To initiate a live speaking session, first, choose your device from the "Speaker" dropdown menu. Then, click the (microphone) icon. A recording indicator will appear on your Arcules browser tab, indicating you can start speaking. Click the speaker icon again to end the session.
Within the Devices page, you can listen live and speak out for Axis cameras with built-in microphones and speakers.
