Overview
Arcules provides two flexible options for connecting your devices: Gateway appliances and Camera-to-Cloud (C2C).
Gateway appliances: Stream video and metadata to the cloud using an on-site Linux gateway device, offering a seamless cloud experience, ensuring low-latency live viewing, fast remote playback, and reliable performance.
Camera-to-cloud (C2C): Simplify your setup by connecting directly from the camera to the Arcules cloud, eliminating the need for a gateway appliance. By leveraging the camera's own computing power, you can benefit from additional detection capabilities.
For each of these options, Arcules supports the following video storage deployment options:
Gateway-connected Devices
Edge Cloud: Our low-bandwidth solution leverages local storage in the gateway appliance to eliminate bandwidth bottlenecks, offering the advantages of cloud. You can easily set up, manage, and view video through the Arcules Cloud, while storing footage locally for efficiency.
Pure Cloud: Record video data in the Arcules Cloud. Our flexible and scalable cloud storage options ensure strong protection, while video is buffered on the gateway appliance for uninterrupted recording during connectivity issues or to accommodate upload schedules.

Camera-to-cloud (C2C) Devices
Local Storage (a.k.a Edge Storage): Video is stored directly on the camera’s SD card, minimizing bandwidth usage and providing immediate access to footage. This method enhances security and privacy by keeping data on-site and ensures reliable recording, even during network outages.
Cloud Storage: Extended video retention beyond SD cards, providing continuous recording (24/7) and reliable backups in case of SD card failure and enhances security against on-site damage or vandalism, ensuring your data remains safe.
